Contribute your Time and Talent as a Volunteer
The Walk depends on volunteers like you to recruit walkers and sponsors, as well as assist with helping the event run smoothly. By volunteering, you can help raise funds for autism treatments and make a positive difference for families in Northern Virginia.

We need people to serve on committees, prepare for the event, and volunteer on Walk day.

Sample tasks of Walk committee volunteers:
*Recruit corporate sponsors
*Meet with local organizations and leaders to recruit participants
*Distribute Walk posters and brochures
*Assist with securing entertainment, security,
registration, children’s activities, resource fair participants,
silent auction items, setup, cleanup, and other logistical tasks.

*Generate promotional opportunities through media outlets and businesses.

Sample tasks on Walk Day:
*Help with set up and take down of tables and Walk signage.
*Check in walkers and distribute t-shirts at registration.
*Provide food and drinks to participants.
*Monitor children’s activities
